Music is an important and dynamic part of the life of our Fellowship. Through choral and instrumental performance, congregational singing, and a wide variety of guest artists, the Music Ministry enhances the message and infuses our weekly Services with energy and spirit. In addition, we work with individuals and groups from the local community to offer an array of musical experiences furthering opportunity and education for our inclusive and diverse community of spiritual seekers.

The variety of musical expressions at BVUUF bring love and compassion to life; offer meaningful opportunities for spiritual exploration and celebration of life; encourage openness; and inspire wonder both within the congregation and the wider community.

Fellowship Choir

The Fellowship Choir performs at Sunday services once a month from late August through June.  Under the direction of Tad Koriath, the Choir rehearses each Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m. This is a non-auditioned group open to any singer, middle-school aged or older, who enjoys music-making and wants to contribute to the musical life of the Fellowship. Music reading skills, though helpful, are not required; all efforts are made to accommodate different learning styles and experience levels. Please contact our Director of Music Tad Koriath (musicdirector@bvuuf.org) for more information.

Chamber Choir

The Chamber Choiralso under the direction of Tad Koriath, is our smaller auditioned choir. Chamber Choir provides an opportunity for qualified members to sing more challenging pieces (frequently a cappella) under a condensed rehearsal schedule.  Chamber Choir rehearses intermittently on Mondays and sings at Service about once a month.

Boulder Valley Concert Series

The Boulder Valley Concert Serieslaunched in 2022, is BVUUF’s own curated concert series.  Featuring both regionally and nationally prominent musicians of a variety of genres and styles, this series brings 6-8 musically excellent performances to our beautiful sanctuary each season.

Play with us!

We are always looking for talented instrumentalists who would like to contribute their gifts to services.  There are frequent opportunities to play with the Fellowship or Chamber Choirs, as part of a Worship Band, and sometimes as soloist.  If you (or someone you know) plays an instrument and would like to offer your time and talent please contact Tad (musicdirector@bvuuf.org).
