During any time of change, such as intentional interim ministry, it may seem more challenging to “Build Belonging” because it may feel like the ground beneath our feet is forever moving. Many of the contexts for both belonging and interim ministry are similar, defined by two basic questions — do we want to stay the same, or do we want to change — and the implications of these questions for who belongs? Change might feel risky. We may even resist change which is in our best interest. Change is an important factor in Belonging.
