“Othering” contributes to social inequality and marginality, as exists in caste systems. In contrast, authentic “Belonging” invites the whole selves of others to be recognized and honored. Let’s reflect on habits of “othering,” many perhaps unconscious, you may have and how these habits diminish a welcome invitation to belonging.
