The term “God’s frozen chosen” is a tongue-in-cheek term that refers to conservative Christians who sit passively in pews to “receive” the word of god. Some UUs feel that this tradition is a bit too white and too frosty, and that it separates us from embodying spirit in worship. Hopefully, here at BVUUF, we’re not the Frozen Chosen! Hopefully, you will feel free enough to join Nicolette Toussaint, Karin Griglak, and Juli MacKenzie in exploring how dance has been used to celebrate the divine across the ages and from Europe to America, Hawaii, and the Middle East. In this service, we will transform worship from a mental exercise into a holistic spiritual experience.
