As we near the darkest time of the year, let us continue to nurture hope: hope for Mother Earth during her needed period of dormancy; hope that current social, political and economic conditions will improve; hope for peace and goodwill this holiday season. Let us not only believe in hope but also commit to practicing hope, daily. Grounded in the Touchstones of our Circles of Trust program, Rev. Barbara Coeyman tells us that through “Practicing Hope” we can believe that it’s possible to emerge into the future with what we need, individually and in community, with more energy, openness and perspective, as we choose transformation, healing, and wholeness.
We will conclude this service with the annual Mitten Tree ceremony, a hopeful message of community for all congregants, of all ages.
