January’s theme of resistance is complex. A spirit of resistance can ward off challenging or negative influences. Still, an attitude of resistance can also inhibit our capacity to widen our perspectives on new ideas, new habits, new imagination and creativity. Our capacity to let go of resisting something out of the ordinary is one of the many benefits of the call to Active Hope we considered in December. Overcoming resistance to the new and different may also expand our perspective on accountability and living well together in covenant. Led by Rev. Barbara Coeyman and Service Associate Margaret English.
