Religious leader Karen Armstrong offered the esteemed Ware Lecture at General Assembly 2011 on “The Challenge of Compassion.” Armstrong’s international program, Charter of Compassion, offers us much inspiration for connections and kindness in this month celebrating LGBT History, as we also move toward a season of Thanksgiving and the winter solstice.
