Janet (she/her) grew up in a blue-collar family in Cincinnati, the first to go to college. After traveling a winding religious road as a youth and young adult, she eventually found herself in step with UUs. She joined the Fellowship in 2009. Living in Boulder with her husband, Larry Sherwood, Janet is a counselor, portrait photographer, and teaches memoir writing classes. She enjoys hiking, hosting dinner parties, gardening, and playing marimba. At the Fellowship, she’s served on many committees and councils, including four years on the Board, the last two as president. These days, she leads the Communication Team, co-chairs the auction, helps produce the weekly newsletter and memorial programs, and maintains the website. She is glad to serve in leadership during this time of transition and possibility.
