Judy is a Colorado native and graduate of Englewood High School and University of Colorado. After a career that included New York, Colorado, California, and Georgia, she retired from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention and returned home to help care for her mother and aunt. While on a Road Scholar Intergeneration trip with one of her young family members, she learned more about Unitarian Universalism from fellow travelers and decided to find out more about UUs. After attending the Fellowship for three years, she became a member in 2016.
Initially, when participating in the choir, she met more Fellowship folks and felt more at home. Since that time, she has been involved in the Hospitality Committee, Neighborhood Connector group, Humanism groups, and a few other short-term groups. During the pandemic, she was very involved in the COVID Task Force and then with happy relief was involved in organizing our building dedication events. Being a member of the Leadership Development Committee is an opportunity to learn more about how the Fellowship operates.
You may see Judy on hiking trails, ski slopes, golf courses, and in the waters of scuba diving.
